For tailors
Client body measurements.
Dress Measurement gives tailors a fast, organised way to capture client measurements, manage a growing roster, record fitting notes, and export data for cutting and manufacturing. It works the same way for sewists, seamstresses, and dressmakers who measure for themselves, for family, or for a handful of clients. Available on iPhone and Android.
Why tailors use Dress Measurement
Paper measurement sheets get lost, handwritten notes are hard to read under pressure, and spreadsheets take time to set up and update. Dress Measurement replaces all three with a mobile-first system built around how tailoring actually works: you measure a client, record the values, and need to retrieve them quickly when cutting or ordering fabric.
Tailors in West Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and beyond already use Dress Measurement daily to manage client rosters and share measurements with cutters and manufacturing partners. The app works offline, needs no network connection to save or retrieve measurements, and exports clean data in formats that fit existing workflows.
Unlimited client profiles
The Tailor Shop subscription removes the profile cap entirely. Create a profile for every client, give it their name, and update measurements over time as fittings accumulate. Profiles are independent; updating one client's waist does not affect any other record.
The Free tier includes 7 profiles on iPhone and Android. If you are just starting out, the Free tier is enough to evaluate the workflow before committing to a subscription.

Named profiles
Per-word capitalisation, searchable by name in the app.
Custom measurements
Tailors often need measurements that fall outside a standard list: crotch depth, sleeve pitch, back shoulder slope, or garment-specific points for bespoke work. Tailor Shop lets you add custom measurement fields to any profile, label them whatever makes sense for your practice, and store them alongside the standard body measurements.
Custom measurements export with the rest of the profile in both PDF and CSV, so they travel through the same workflow as standard measurements.
Reference measurements
Reference measurements are a set of standard body-size benchmarks that you can compare against client profiles. They help you quickly spot where a client diverges from typical sizing, so you know before you cut which adjustments are most likely to be needed. Reference charts are available for both men and women across standard size ranges.
Photos and notes per client
Tailor Shop lets you attach photos and free-text notes to any profile. Photos are useful for recording posture, fitting state, or garment references at the time of measurement. Notes capture anything else: client preferences, fabric choices, alteration history, or reminders for the next fitting.
Photos and notes are stored on your device and synced to iCloud on iPhone. They are never visible to Dress Measurement or third parties.
Export to CSV for cutters and partners
When you work with cutters, pattern-makers, or manufacturing partners, you need to share measurements in a format that works in their tools. CSV export on Tailor Shop produces a flat, clean file with all measurements for a profile, including any custom fields. Send it via email, messaging, or your preferred file-sharing method. The recipient does not need to use Dress Measurement to open it.
PDF export is available on the Free tier for single-profile print sheets. CSV export requires Tailor Shop.
